Thanks to everyone who has been showing interest in my blog... I spent the last couple of days setting up my own webspace, and it's just about stable enough now to move this blog over! I have moved all the previous posts over there, and there are new RSS feeds to grab, so update your bookmarks accordingly!

New Toys, Round One!

Flying around in an expensive ship really gets your heart racing! I recently left the Gallente militia to persue a more active role in anti-piracy... I got a shiney new Megathron Navy Issue and put on exotic modules from all over the universe. This morning I took it down to Ostingele and put it right in to the heat of combat to see how she really coped under the strain of gunfire!

After a while, waiting in a station, I notice a couple of The Movement in local, and decide to check out the gates, see if any are being camped. First off, the Stacmon gate... I fire up my scanner in warp and spy some juicy targets. Armageddon and Maelstrom on scan, time to rock and roll...

I come out of warp 2km from the Armageddon, launch drones, and open fire, overloading my Ion blasters at the start for maximum effect. Both of the hostile ships start firing back and the noise of the explosions is deafening... I take Supr4h in the Armageddon down in to armour, but then DPS slows to a snail's pace! At first, I'm doing more damage to him than he can tank, but then he's tanking my damage... Faction? Heat? Rigs? Something enough to tank 1000 DPS... All the while, I'm slowly losing my own armour, and when I reach 20%, I decide to deagress and jump through to Stacmon. In my excitement I forget to reload my cap booster, and have to switch off my reps for a few seconds...

The next thirty seconds, my hands were shaking at the controls... It seemed that the Armageddon had stopped attacking me though, but the Maelstrom was still coming on strong... I jump out in 10% armour with a few badly damaged modules, and my Navy Mega survives to fight another day.

The Movement may have won round one, but we'll see what happens next!

Shortly after the fight, Supr4h intived me to a private conversation, telling me that his 8-slot tank saved his ass, and that when I deagressed, he was completely out of cap, with major damage to overheating his midslot and lowslot modules!

Supr4h > you got balls :P
...
Endaros > i'm gonna have all of the movement hunting me now, aren't i?
Supr4h > yes you are :)
Endaros > awesome, i love a challenge

Great fight guys, I'll see you all soon!
